PERFECT MARRIAGE? IS THERE ANYTING LIKE A PERFECT MARRIAGE?....

 

Marriages are one of the most rewarding experiences people can have, but they typically take at least some degree of work to be great. And even the strongest unions out there have their "moments."

Perfect marriage is nearly impossible, though its a common misconception that there is a such thing as a perfect marriage.

It seems to me that because there is no such thing like a perfect person then how can there be a perfect marriage which inherently involves two imperfect people. 

Anybody we marry, would, to a certain extent, be wrong for us. However, the level of incompatibility is so high in some couples that "they simply shouldn't be together".  

 Most relationships are based on infatuation, which is the result of overworking hormones. But, when the body's neurochemistry gradually regulates itself, the attraction fades.

We stop idealising our partners and start seeing their faults, This is when disenchantment sets in.  

 

The society don't encourage us to understand ourselves; their primary agenda being to have a good time.

A good partnership is not so much one between two healthy people, it's one between two demented people who have had the skill or luck to find a nonthreatening conscious accommodation between their relative insanities," 

 what happens when your partner is not your confidant anymore.
Something is bothering you so much that you need to get it off your chest. If you don't reason to share it with your spouse first, then something is amiss in your connection. Couples in a successful relationship engage in emotional self-disclosure and would remain intimately connected to each others inner worlds. Therefore the deeper conversations strengthens relationship.

When you're comparing your partner to others. 

Some certain lifestyle gives rise to this kind of negative thinking, always complaining about what's not great, forgetting what is. This is a common trend on social media and reality TV shows. Maybe you won't actually act on it, but the truth is that you're one foot out, you are mentally checked out. So quit complaining and do a self-check to know if your negative thoughts towards your partner are valid, because the grass is always greener at the other end.

You're not fighting and not loving either.

Ask yourself, Is happy marriage worth fighting for? The answer is yes! Remember, that  because you're not just arguing doesn't mean you are happy, it means you are so disengaged that you wont even fight anymore. It's simple, create a culture of gratitude, by saying thank you for every little thing your partner does. Look inwards and see how great life has been with your partner, build up the positivity factor.  Don’t allow yourself to focus so much on the things that aren’t running smoothly that you overlook the things that are.

 Celebrate the positives while making improvements in the areas that need bit of help. Keep a balanced and realistic perspective. What makes you and your spouse feel good together may be quite different than how other couples experience their relationships. And that’s ok!
